Seems they changed build so we have to build in-tree. With out of tree
autotools build would break with:

Normally monit create its temporary files in $HOME directory.
In case the rootfs is mounted as read-only, monit will not operate.
This patch set monit configuration to store these files in /var/run

For reproducible binaries, create a static CONFIGURE_LINE
during configuration rather than reporting the command line
invoking configure.

With parallel build enabled, we got the following error:

However, looking at the Makefile, it does not seem to have problem.
